Shining Waters Marina is open to everyone, all the time! We highly recomend enjoying the delicious onsite restaurant or Saltbox Taproom before or after your sail. Onsite parking is available for no fee.
How far is St. Margarets Bay from Halifax?
Shining Waters Marine on St. Margarets Bay is approximately a 25-minute drive from Halifax, 30-minutes from Chester, 25-minutes from Hubbards, 45-minutes from Mahone Bay, making it an easy day trip for visitors looking to experience a different side of Nova Scotia.
Do I need sailing experience to join a tour?
No experience is required. Our sailing tours are designed for all comfort levels. You can be as hands-on or as relaxed as you like!
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing layers, sunglasses, sunscreen. Soft-soled shoes are also encouraged for comfort on deck. We have all necessary safety equipment onboard, as well as a licensed bar. You are welcome to bring any snacks or food you'd like.
What is your weather and cancellation policy?
Safety is our priority. If conditions are not suitable for sailing, we may reschedule. If we are required to cancel, we will always provide you a full refund. You can cancel for a full refund with 24 hours notice prior to your sail. You can also choose to purchase Trip Protection at your time of booking, which allows you to cancel within 24 hours for a refund.
